Gurash Trekking

Gurash Trekking

Popularly known Ghumte Hill trekking is also known as Gurash Trekking.  When visiting the ‘Land of the Thousand Hills’, one should not miss out on the magnificent opportunity to visit famous Ghumte Hill at Galkot Baglung, consisting of numerous kilometers of mountain forest and home to the birds and the world famous mountain leopards. Protected within federal and community level, the lushly forested slopes of the mountains form an appropriately dramatic natural setting for what is arguably the most poignant and memorable wildlife experience in the world- Gurash Trekking.
The exhilarating climb to the wild bird’s and deer’s natural habitat of shady bamboo and colored Rhododendron ( Laali Gurash) forest offers fantastic views in all directions, before the trackers are immersed in the mysterious intimacy of the rainforest, alive with the calls of colorful birds, the chattering of rare golden monkey and snow capped series of mountains. Nothing can prepare one for the impact of encountering fully-grown colorful birds, silverback monkeys and thousands of hills; and series of mountains peaks.
